It seems that everywhere you turn there are special offers, deals and buy-now-before-the-price-goes-up type of advertising. What you don’t know when you buy one of these coupons is often the experience and knowledge of the person who is potentially performing your spa or skincare service.
Try to buy from places you know exist. Where you can see a physical sign over a door, or better yet – check the place out first. Many times people buy special deals because the image looks amazing and then they find out the person offering this service works out of their home and they have 3 dogs (you might be allergic). So by check out businesses beforehand – you know what you are buying and you know what situation you are walking into.
Beware the cheap prices! Not all services are created equally. This message is timely as it appears we go into the “gift card season” and here is where things can be tricky. Watch those expiration dates and make sure the services can be booked on the weekends. Due diligence is important.
