When you are arriving for your appointment at the day spa it is a good idea to leave the whole world behind during that time period. Everyone can wait. This is your time to relax and rejuvenate your spirit. How are you going to do that with interruptions? It’s time to take a time out Mom. If you are coming to the spa to take a time out using a Gift Certificate, obviously someone noticed that perhaps you needed a little “me” time. Take the cue and relax. Here are a couple of things to remind you to NOT DO at your next day spa appointment:
- Talk Loudly
- Arrive Late
- Bring children and then let them play loud video games in the reception area. (no, please!)
- Check Emails
- Call Work
- Make changes 3 minutes before your scheduled sessions.
- Cell Phone Usage – in general, not a good idea.
Can you really Take a Time Out or should you just cancel and reschedule?
If you do think that there is something that is important to be done and you are the only “Ms. Fixit” available, you should call the spa and try to reschedule. No sense in being stressed out and not really able to enjoy your services. Try and see if they are flexible and can accommodate you the next day. If they cannot, it is best to try and not break that appointment or else cancellations charges might apply.
Life is Good and Balanced when you Take a Time Out
It’s amazing what an hour or two at the day spa can do for your soul. Turning off all that external stimuli like cell phones and kids and grocery shopping or work – whatever it is, you can take a break and relax and it’s amazing – the world does not come to a complete halt! Good for you to realize this now, take a time out and enjoy your special time. When you balance your energy, little things don’t bother you anymore. The grass grows another inch, milk spills and you just smile and say “it’s ok” and go about your day. You rock!
