Sending Dad to the spa for a Father’s Day spa package is a great idea! Relaxing is not just for the ladies. Dad’s need to relax too. Tell him to let the grass grow another inch, sip some green tea and enjoy a spa package designed especially for him. Great spas are all over this holiday and have been actively marketing to the Moms and kids so that Dad receives a special Spa Day for him.
Special Father’s Day Spa Package Ideas
If your favorite spa hasn’t devised a package yet – you can always make one on your own. Make sure it includes a nice hour and a half massage for Dad! Most men have more muscles and an hour massage is not enough to really make sure he is fully relaxed and all the “kinks” are worked out. You could always add a half hour facial to the gift. Sometimes men are not that clued in on what really is happening in an hour facial. Dads are perfectly happy with 30 minutes.
With an hour and a half massage and a half hour men’s facial – that might just be the perfect Father’s Day Spa Package for Dad. Having men in the day spa is fun because they are usually surprised at the general improvement of their facial skin as well as loving the massage of course! Many golfers who forget to use SPF on their face and tips of their ears will get a little education on the importance of SPF and many men become fans of the day spa concept after experiencing it themselves.
What not to include in a Father’s Day Spa Package
Waxing or Laser Hair Removal. Yes, even though Dad might want to “try it out” – please don’t give this as a gift because it is pretty intense for lots of men. It’s not the way you want them to remember Father’s Day, right? Also, combining waxing and a massage is a big no-no. The pores are wide open and pretty much “in shock” so the last think you want to do is overly stimulate them with massage and oils that night sting (the back is very sensitive after waxing).
Body Treatments are also not the most favored selection for Dad at the spa. Having a moisturizing product applied on his body, then being wrapped up – it’s not the most popular treatment that men like so it’s best to avoid getting Dad a body treatment.
Either way, be sure to let Dad know you are thinking about him this Father’s Day and pick him up a cool Father’s Day Spa Package. Maybe offer to mow the lawn so he doesn’t have to do it that week too? That would be a great gift add-on!
